Social Impact Creative Agency in NYC is immediately seeking a Resource Manager to manage staffing for all Business Development and active projects for US.  5+ years resource or project management experience within a creative or digital agency or consulting organization a MUST.
 


The Resource Manager ensures that project resourcing is managed in order  to assure timely delivery and communicates resourcing issues that may impact scheduled deadlines in a timely manner.  It is essential that this person enforces existing company processes with resourcing partners (project managers, project leads and

office leadership) and helps to evolve and enhance resource reporting to inform business decisions based on accurate data.


ESSENTIAL  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as point of contact for resource booking confirmation, conflict resolution, and development of solutions in support of business goals.
  • Responsible for managing overall utilization and optimization of resource allocations to increase utilization, including facilitating resourcing issues / conflict resolution with Project Leads and Functional Leaders.
  • Liaise with resourcing managers from other geographies on a weekly basis to coordinate shared resources on an as-needed basis.
  • Support in the  development of training on Resource Management best practices and processes for all functions who  participate in resource allocation.
  • Manage hiring recommendations based on forecasted resource needs.
  • Ensuring the  right resources, with the  right skillsets, available at the  right times.
  • Manage, update, and communicate changes to sta  ng  data in Mavenlink and supporting forecast sheets.
  • Work to identify appropriate resource requirements for each account and project in collaboration with Project Managers and Project Leads.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing.
  • Alert Senior Management team of any potential concerns or issues with meeting key  client deliverables due  to resourcing.
  • Drive timesheet compliance to ensure accurate business reporting that informs hiring decisions.

 

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years resource management or project management experience in a creative, agency or other business with a complex matrixed resourcing model.
  • Proficiency in standard business word  processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (Purpose primarily uses Google services).
  • Effective conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to be  diplomatic to drive business forward or obtain results through ambiguity and con?icting needs.
  • Highly detail oriented and able to work  autonomously.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups.
  • Familiarity with Mavenlink, our resource and ?nancial reporting platform, is a huge plus.
